Hammer cover will protect your gun from accidental gas discharge which can happen by pushing on the hammer while the pistol is holstered. This also keeps out debris / snow / rain from the hammer assembly.
The mounting anchor slides in the back of the slide from the bottom and the cover clips in place from the top and is secured by a screw. Once mounted, it's not going anywhere.
With some small modifications, the hammer cover is also compatible with the SSX23 Picatinny Slide Rail and can be used with the red dot. There are pre-made cutting path made on the front of the cover that needs to be cut away to make space for the rail.
Compatibility
This part is compatible only with Novrtisch SSX23 metal slide. Currently there is no non-destructive way to mount this on plastic clone or TM slides.
Materials
This part is made out of PA12 Nylon using HP Multi Jet Fusion technology which is an industrial grade 3D printing technology, similar to SLS. This makes the parts virtually indestructible with an amazing matte black surface finish. The strength and looks are very similar to injection moulded parts.
