Regulation Northern Ireland and the EU!
Since January 1st 2021 the United Kingdom has left the European Union. In effect this made us move Skirmshop to Northern Ireland during 2021.
Northern Ireland has a special status regarding the UK and the European Union and we would like to clarify what this means for you as a customer.
If you live in an EU country nothing has changed as before BREXIT.
- You will have no import duties, custom clearance or extra paperwork.
- Shipments will be delivered with you quickly since there is no customs clearance.
If you live in the UK nothing has changed as before BREXIT.
- You will have no import duties, custom clearance or extra paperwork.
- No customs clearance as Northern Ireland is still part of the UK.
If you live outside the EU or UK nothing has changed as before BREXIT.
- Your order will be deducted from our national VAT.
- Your order will be subject to customs clearance, import fees and extra paperwork depending on the destination country.
- Delivery may take longer then expected due to customs clearance.
If you live in an EU country and are asked to pay customs fees by your local customs authorities and postal services, please contact us straight away to enable us to provide you with further information to appeal the charges and push your order through.
To all our Belgian customers -
Please note that due to a ruling by Belgian Financial Authorities, we cannot guarantee that shipments will not be subject to customs clearance and import fees when entering Belgium. Please be assured that all relevant paperwork is attached to our shipments and unfortunately, there is currently nothing further we can do to avoid this. You can read about these changes here - https://financien.belgium.be/nl/ondernemingen/btw/internationaal/brexit#q9
